Looking for a way to say “Thank You” to your guests for coming to your party? New to A Pinch Of Sass shop, Butterfly Silhouette “Thank You” Circle Tags. These are so SIMPLE to make and make such a great impression!  Just open the digital file, print out, then cut or punch!  You can also use these tags for your THANK YOU cards! Just print out, punch using a 2″ circle or square punch then attach to small white notecards, using with either double-sided tape or a foam pop dot!

Busy, busy, busy!

Lately I’ve been very busy with my Etsy shop – A Pinch Of Sass. I first started creating printable party invites & party decor for my son’s first birthday. At the time I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to why not learn how to make my own. And that’s exactly what I did! Since then, I have made birth announcements, bridal shower invites, baby shower invites, birthday party invitations for adults and children, as well as matching party decor, such as cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, goodie bag toppers, fancy labels, thank you cards, etc.

I am really loving what I do because it gives me a creative outlet and it also lets me have some quiet time when I’m not playing with my very active toddler.

Rainy Sunday = Creative Sunday

Wow can’t remember the last time I blogged.  I’m really going to try to get on here once a week to show you what I’ve been up to.  Lately I’ve been busy with my little man, getting bigger because I’m pregnant, and trying to figure out what I wanted to make for my Etsy shop ~ A Pinch Of Sass

Road Block

Its pretty cold outside and I feel like that cold has frozen the creative part of my brain. I’m literally at a design, crafting, creative road block and it sucks!

For the last couple of days I have tried to design some holiday photo cards and invites for my Etsy shop. Unfortunately I’m not liking anything and not getting anything done. I came up with a very basic design for holiday invite. I like it but for some strange reason I feel like it isn’t enough. Does anyone else feel like they can’t get creative?

Oh well, at least I have John Mayer to keep me company. Although I have been very disappointed with him since listening to Taylor Swift’s new album. John Mayer you dog! LOL Just putting it out there

Snow Day!

Wow is it cold outside! I’m up here in the Puget Sound area and we have been hit hard by this winter storm. Luckily the sun is shining but it is still very cold. According to news reports, the area I live in was hit the hardest. I can definitely account for that because we lost power the majority of night. Unfortunately our house got so cold that our heater seems to be having trouble warming up the house…I really would have thought the house would be warmer by now since we’ve had the heater on since 6:00am, it is 10:20am.

A couple of years ago, Seattle was hit hard by severe winter storm. Why is it when we get hit by a storm, WA infrastructure does not seem to be prepared to handle a disaster. Especially when it comes to the roads. Last night when I was listening to the radio, I was hearing how people had been stranded on the freeways because the snow plows were not out or how there was no salt or sand spread on the roads. I really would have thought the Dept of Transportation would have been out there spreading salt/sand and de-icing the roads because for the last couple of days the news had been reporting the area would be hit hard by a winter storm coming down from Canada. So my question is how does the area you live in handle a snow storm?

I hope everyone is keeping warm this time of year. And if you are snowed in today, have fun & be safe of the roads

What have I been up to?

OMG it has been forever since I last posted something.  I know I am still just getting started but for some of you who have checkout this blog, I am sorry I’ve been away for so long.

So, what have I been up to?  When I first started my blog, I had recently moved into a new house.  Happy to say we are finally settled in.  Since then I have become an independent consultant for Scentsy.  If you have not heard of Scentsy, it is a wickless candle system.  The warmers use a low watt lightbulb to heat the wax.  What’s great about the wax Scentsy uses is that it heats up at a lower temperature, so it will not burn you like normal wax.  I really love Scentsy warmers because I can virtually leave them on all day and not worry about a burning candle around my very active 16 mos old son & two dogs.  Not to mention the scent lasts forever  You can checkout my Scentsy personal website.

I have also been very busy creating digital invites, cards, holiday photo cards, party supplies for my shop on Etsy - APinchOfSass.   If you do not find what you are looking for, please Convo me and I can create exactly what you are looking for.  I have really fallen in love with creating digital invites, cards, etc. because it gives me a creative outlet I have been lacking for a while…plus a mental escape from the chaos in my house.

Getting Started

Slowly but surely I will get this blog up & running! I’m so excited to start something new such as this blog. I like to think I’m a crafty person, so one of my favorite things to do around the internet is checkout other peoples blogs on crafting tips or ways to save money. This really helped me out when I was planning my wedding back in 2008. My favorites for wedding planning are www.Weddingbee.com and www.StyleMePretty.com

My latest hunting expeditions have led me to digital scrapbooking. OMG, there is so much fun, exciting, whimsical elements & kits out there it is insane. I have to admit, I’ve never been a traditional scrapbooker because I always thought it was an expense & space consuming hobby…I think I was on the right page because paper can be so expensive! BTW ~ I love pretty paper!!! Anyway, now that I have a son and take a ton of pictures, I figured I better start putting my creative juices to good use. Although I have yet to create a single layout because I’m too busy collecting digital kits or elements. Oh one of these days it will happen
